Ireland: Landscape, History & Culture

October 06, 2022 —October 19, 2022
This is past program: To apply for a new CCSA program please visit our course search or use the main menu above.

This is a Non-Credit program

Ireland’s lovely landscape and landmarks provide an excellent and easily accessible source of relevant content and examples through which to discover its rich history and vibrant culture in this non-credit course. As a professional musician and songwriter, I am also familiar with aspects of Irish history and culture from an artistic perspective. In addition to its history and culture, we’ll explore aspects of Ireland’s musical heritage, which runs deep. It touches all aspects of Irish life, from history and politics to culture and tourism.

Whether it’s a concert hall performance, a ceilidh (party) in a neighborhood pub, or a busker on a street corner, we will experience Ireland the way it is today.

“Imagine a ‘study abroad’ program with all of the adventure, and none of the homework! CCSA’s Ireland: Landscape, History & Culture program is designed to suit the interests and experiences of adult travelers rather than college students.”

-Jim Gleason
